Two - factor authentication - FAQ

Two-factor authentication helps you to keep the money in your account safe, even if someone finds out your password. A second authentication factor, usually a mobile phone app, will make unauthorized access much more difficult. Even if someone got your login details, they wouldn’t be able to get into your account without your phone. Activating two-factor authentication on Bondster is optional, but we strongly recommend it to all investors as this adds an extra layer of security.

You can set up two-factor authentication on Bondster by using an authentication app that generates one-time codes. Authentication by text messages is not available.

How to do it? In your account settings, find “”Two-Factor Authentication””, click “”Enable”” and follow the instructions. Once the verification has been enabled, you will receive a confirmation email. If you decide to disable two-factor authentication, go to your account settings, find “”Two-Factor Authentication”” and click “”Disable””. After successful deactivation, you will receive a confirmation email.

To use two-factor authentication on your Bondster account, you’ll need to download the Google Authenticator app for Android or iOS.

If the device you use for two-factor authentication has been lost, stolen, damaged or reset or if the authentication app stopped working with your Bondster account, first check what data recovery options your authentication app offers. If none are available, please contact our Customer Support. Once we have verified your identity, we will disable two-factor authentication on your account. You will then be able to log in and connect a new authentication device.

The Google Authenticator app also offers some helpful tips on how to troubleshoot common two-factor authentication issues.
